Boat race is a popular sport which takes place during the harvest season of Onam (festival) which shows muscle power and team spirit of the locals. Beach surfing is a common water sport which is adventurous enthusiasts along the numerous beaches that connects the sea coasts of Kerala. The place is gifted with breath taking surprises that includes long shoreline with beautiful beaches, soothing stretches of emerald backwaters, hill stations, and waterfalls. Kerala is a home to 1000 species of plants and trees and a huge variety of fauna like Leopard, elephant, tiger, etc with approximately 453 varieties of birds. Numerous sanctuaries, national parks and wildlife reserves are located all across the state of Kerala.

The nightlife in Kerala is not entertaining or vibrant. Perhaps in the vast town of Kovalam might have more to offer but limited restaurants open . Still if you want the, electrifying atmosphere you should visit during Onam festival when there are number of daily cultural and typical activity to enjoy till late Its no surprise that Kerala offers little in the way of night life in the traditional sense.Flavouring yourself out is the entertainment itself, or preffered, wandering through the shops.In Kovalam, which is the tourist resort down to south.
