Sports & nature

The ancient sport being the Archery is an important part of Manipur culture. Manipuri Martial Arts or Thang Ta as in local words & Sarit Sarak describes the tradition of Manipuri culture which had been passed down over the centuries. Khong Kangjei or Manipuri Hockey is also popular. Yupi Lakpi or Manipuri Rugby is common. Mukna or wrestling is also a famous athletics practiced here. All these sports are very much known and popular in Manipur. Manipur is rewarded with an amazing variety of flora and fauna with 67% of the geographical area of the region is covered with forests over the hill track. The climate here varies from sub-alpine to tropical, covered with orchids that bloom as if it’s representing some mystery of the hills. The said, is a paradise on earth where Mother Nature has been extra generous in her beauty,and from the very inception, this princely state has always been a shinning outpost of the country in the sparse of the eastern Himalayas.

[Pickup from Airport] Arrive in Kolkata. You will be met upon arrival by our representative who will escort you to the hotel of your stay. Later in the afternoon enjoy half day tour of Kolkata. Overnight stay in Kolkata.

[Kolkata- Imphal] After a complimentary breakfast, transfer to airport to board on flight for Imphal. On arrival at Imphal Airport, our representative will escort you to the hotel of your stay. Relax in the evening and overnight stay.

Day 3

[Imphal- Keibul Lamjao National Park- Imphal]:- [Imphal] Cultural tour of the city including monuments, temples, ceremonial places, Kangla shrine, War Cemetery, the Khwairamband Bazaar and Shree Govindajee Temple - the largest Hindu, Vaishnav temple in Imphal city of Manipur. It is located next to the palace of the former rulers of the then Manipur Kingdom. Overnight stay.

Day 4

[imphal]Morning visit to Lamjao National Park, village tour to see Sada Chiru waterfall and the Japanese war memorial, transfer to Morang. We will also visit Loktak Lake, which is the largest fresh water lake in India,known as the only Floating lake in the world due to the floating phumdis (which is a mass of vegetation, soil, and organic matters at various stages of decomposition) on it. Because of this unique feature, this is also home to the endangered sangai or Manipur brow-antlered deer. Overnight stay in Imphal.

Day 5

After a complimantary breakfast, transfer to airport to board on flight for Kolkata. Arrive at Kolkata, Relax at hotel. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 6

After breakfast, transfer to airport for onward journey.
